The Area 75 Grapevine/LaVina Committee

The Area 75 Grapevine/LaVina Committee is a place where those with an interest in the A.A. Grapevine, the International Journal of Alcoholics Anonymous, hear news about the Grapevine magazine and its books and other products. We share experience, strength and hope with regard to our own use of the Grapevine in our recoveries, in our group life, and in our service to A.A.

The Area 75 Grapevine Committee meets during the Area 75 Winter Service Assembly, Area 75 Delegate's Workshop, Area 75 Spring Summer Service Assembly, and Fall Pre-Conference Service Assembly. It also meets Saturday afternoon following the Area 75 Conference Assembly. In between Assemblies, monthly meetings are held via ZOOM. (info in newsletter) District Grapevine/ LaVina Chairs as well as Group Grapevine Reps (GvR's), La Vina Reps (RLV's), and all interested members are encouraged to attend. We hope you will familiarize yourself with the Grapevine (aagrapevine.org) and LaVina (aalavina.org), websites offering numerous available resources including some exciting new DIGITAL products.

New to Area 75 is our Area75 Grapevine/LaVina Committee Newsletter. The monthly newsletter offers a list of GV/LV related meetings and upcoming events, updates of GV/LV news, story topics and submission due dates, a featured GV/LV book, a bit of trivia and an AAGrapevine published joke for good measure as “we are not a glum lot.”

The GV/LV Committee also works with Area Committees to get the Grapevine and LaVina into the hands of those who want and need this tool. Reaching out to professionals through the Area 75 CPC Committee and reaching those incarcerated in correctional facilities through our Area 75 Corrections Committee is key. The Area 75 Corrections Literature Fund supplies Grapevine/LaVina subscriptions for groups meeting inside correctional facilities within Area 75. You or your group can make a contribution to the fund through the Area 75 Treasurer. Make sure to designate the contribution is for the Corrections Literature Fund. Outside sponsors seeking subscriptions or renewals can contact either the Area 75 Corrections Chair or the Area 75 GV/LV Chair for information.

Feel free to communicate with the committee at grapevine@area75.org .
